UNO

No perv! This ain’t about the Nicole Hernandez and Maike Evers edition of UNO mag you’ve always wanted to have. LOL. On this day, the 17th of March, I celebrate the official day of unexpected events. You got that right. Oh stop whining you little p***y… This is my moment ya know?!

Anyhow, today is my first year of living in cyber space. Never considered myself being a geek or a nerd which are terms closely associated with science, technology, and (Ahem) losers bullied at school. Just kiddin’. I love these kinds of special individuals. Lol.

For a year now, and I never thought that I would, have been working in an industry not congruent with the education I took from some royal pontifical catholic university visible only during low tides. I am happy with the way things are going since I have been a huge fan of technology though what I have known since was only limited to modifying and assembling desktop pc’s and spending long hours of the night playing with gaming consoles.

The kind of lifestyle I now have had changed considering the fact that I literally have been dependent on the Internet to get what I want and need to know. I’ve been spending at least 10 to 14 hours in front of the blue led screen navigating streams of binary algorithms looking for the Promised Land. What the F?! Speak in English puhlease?!

Before, I only depend on the Internet to get my daily dose of free porn. But since I was still using pre-paid net cards back then, I have abandoned my efforts to satisfy my carnal cravings due to limitations in bandwidth and largely because I am a devout Christian. Lol.

Okay enough with the playing. Why did I consider this day worthy of celebration? Yes I know celebrations are commonly based on days, weeks, months, years, etc. However, beyond those numerical figures, celebrations are held as such because of the significance a particular event had on one’s life.

I consider this day significant.

I landed on this industry by chance. Actually, it was Ajill who made me land on this job. She was the one who sent my resume over the company I’m currently working at without my knowledge. I was surprised that a week or so before this said date I received a call for an interview schedule.

Come interview day I’ve set my expectations in such a way that I’d be prepared emotionally to take whatever the outcome of my application would be knowing that prior to that interview, I’ve had several applications turned down. Imagine going through the screening process without your self-esteem. Sigh.

But, as difficult as it may seem, I have to bear it. Life is full of challenges which should be seen as opportunities to really make yourself and make you remember to smile because God is good. And so He is.

It’s been a really fun first year. I’ve been surrounded by very talented people who I look up to and who are a joy to work with. I want to take this chance to thank them for being patient with me and seeing the potential in me that even I had not noticed.

To sir Marc and madame Riz thanks so much. I really learned a lot from you guys even in a short span of time. To sir Gabz and sir Mito… Penge Pera… Lol. To madame RoanneLove hurts but sometimes it’s a good a hurt and it makes you feel alive. Peace! Lol. To the rest of the team TJ and Lauren – BJ! Best Job! Lol. Pa-Pizza naman kayo diyan! Lol. To Isko, my first seatmate - you sick gay perv you! Lol. To Mom and Ajill… I owe a lot to you… Thanks and Much Love!
